RESPONSE ... (Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole)
Joint response from Bournemouth Borough Council, Borough of Poole and Dorset County Council as we (Dorset County Council) jointly commission this service.
a) Healthwatch Dorset obtains the views of local people through:
All feedback received is recorded in a bespoke CRM. CRM reports form part of the data that Healthwatch Dorset supplies to the three Councils as part of a quarterly contract review process.

In addition, Healthwatch Dorset has been developing information-sharing agreements with local providers (including access to complaints data).
They have also have a presence in care settings, both in order to gather people’s views in real time and to observe service delivery for themselves.
c) To date, none. Healthwatch Dorset has been able to enter and view services by agreement without needing to use the formal power of Enter and View.
d) As a result of what they have heard and recorded, Healthwatch Dorset has established a number of research projects and investigations, each of which result in a report with recommendations to the relevant commissioners and providers. Such reports are also distributed to other stakeholders and made available to the public.

f) A face-to-face service in all the Citizens Advice Bureaux in the county

- Community engagement and outreach (including two to three road shows every week in community settings around the county, and attendance at other community events/groups)
- Feedback people submit through the Healthwatch telephone helpline, online “speak out” form, social media (Twitter and Facebook) and through all the Citizens Advice Bureaux in the county, which operate a face-to-face Healthwatch service
